Dear Friend,

Thank you for visiting my website.  I have been honored and very grateful to serve as a Clackamas County Commissioner since January of 2009.  Clackamas County stretches from the summit of Mt. Hood, across National Forest land, many pristine rivers and farms, includes several rural communities like Welches, Sandy, Estacada and Molalla as well as urban centers including Oak Grove, Sunnyside, Oregon City, West Linn and Lake Oswego.  Clackamas truly represents what makes Oregon strong through the enduring values found in both urban and rural communities.

The past year has been a difficult one for the nation, Oregon, and Clackamas County as we have endured a world-wide recession, job losses and a financial crisis comparable to the great depression of the 1930’s.  I have worked hard during the past year to find a clear path forward, for citizens and businesses, as we begin the slow process of recovery.  This includes maintaining existing jobs, working to create new jobs and helping to rebuild and instill confidence in our local County government and institutions.

I have learned a lot as a County Commissioner as I spent time in every area of Clackamas County, seeing many old friends and meeting new ones while listening to your ideas and concerns.  As I run for election to a four-year term on the Clackamas County Commission in May, I look forward to continuing our dialogue.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me about any issue you may have.

Sincerely,
